Outdoor Kitchen Food Booth Menus for 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival

Walt Disney World has released Outdoor Kitchen food booth menus for the 2023 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, the park’s big spring and early summer celebration. This post previews new & returning savory snacks, decadent desserts, and Orange Bird novelty items–plus my commentary about what sounds delicious!

This year, the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival runs from March 1 through July 5, 2023 at Walt Disney World. (See our Ultimate Guide to the 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival Guide for everything you need to know before you go!) The Outdoor Kitchens are all located throughout the World Showcase pavilions and portions of the new neighborhoods of Future World, just like the Food Studios before them.

The 2023 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is the park’s “in-between” event. It’s still smaller scale than the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, the park’s “flagship” culinary event, but an expansion of both Festival of the Holidays and Arts, largely because it runs longer and occurs during a busier time of year. (That’s right–March and April will be even busier than the already-packed winter months!) These Outdoor Kitchens showcase fresh and farm-to-table ingredients, fitting the vibe of Flower & Garden Festival.

As you eat your way through the 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, don’t forget to pick up a Festival Passport to participate in Garden Graze, a returning food stroll featuring five delicious dishes from various Outdoor Kitchens. Get a stamp in your passport after you’ve purchased the items and once you’ve compiled all five, simply make your way to Pineapple Promenade to receive your event-exclusive treat.

Of course, food is not the only draw of the 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival–or even the highlight of the event. As covered in 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival: New Topiaries & Gardens, the celebration features new character topiaries & gardens, Garden Rocks Concert Series makes its return, there’s event-exclusive merchandise to buy, and more.

As you’ll see from the Outdoor Kitchen food booth menus below, Walt Disney World’s culinary and beverage teams created some new foods for 2023 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, and also brought back numerous fan favorites. Here’s a run-through of the menus, followed by my commentary about what sounds good!

The 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is also another big event for Orange Bird lovers. There’s the Orange Bird Liege Waffle at Connections Cafe, plus the new novelty sipper coming to Citrus Blossom (also known as the Orange Bird Eats Booth). There’s also sure to be a variety of Orange Bird-branded event merchandise, as has been the case for the last several years.

To that last point, Disney Munchlings are joining the 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival with the limited-edition Citrus-infused Cupcake Orange Bird with Honey Disney Munchling. This plush will be coming soon to EPCOT during the festival and on shopDisney. Honestly, I don’t see the appeal…but at least it’s not as creepy as the Funko Pops, so I guess that’s a win. (To each their own, though!)

Ultimately, I’m pleasantly surprised by the mix of new and returning items at the 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival. Most of our favorite booths–Farmers Feast, Sunshine Griddle/BRUNCHCOT, and Honey Bee-stro–are returning and will offer up our favorites of the event. This includes the BRUNCHCOT Booth, which is basically the same thing as Sunshine Griddle, but with a new name (and a good one, at that!). We love that trio so much that we actually put it on our 1-Day EPCOT Itinerary last year as a recommended option for lunch, as the booths are all (relatively) close to one another.

Then there are the new items. Against my better judgment, the dish I might be most excited for is the Shrimp Scampi Poutine. I know it’ll probably be a culinary abomination, but it’s like rubbernecking at a car crash–I just can’t help myself. The Chicken & Waffles at the aforementioned Honey Bee-stro also has my attention, as do the new menu items in France, Florida Fresh, Citrus Blossom, and the new dessert in Canada. And of course, Italy has an entirely new menu, as it’s tradition to wipe the slate clean and cleanse the palate with a fresh slate of stale items. However, I am looking forward to that–not for the food itself, but for the fond memories of past visits to the booth.
